Katherine is a force! I’ve been working with her for the past 5 years. She has the capacity to meet my deepest fears, longings, hurts and traumas, through her profound gift of meeting me at my Soul’s level, to rewire the distorted beliefs I was desperately clinging to. Through her work, I have a new way of living. Loving myself now means I feel safe in my body to be vulnerable, and to fully receive my wants and desires.
I met Katherine when I was 30, at an inflection point – faced with the choice to become an even higher-performing automaton, or be me.
Over the five years she’s mentored me, she’s been a steady presence through every kind of intensity as I unlearn who I’m not and embody who I am — the fault lines that opened each time I looked at myself more honestly and discovered where I needed to evolve, the fever-pitch pressure of high-stakes work, and personal losses that teach what real pain feels like.
Katherine’s love is fierce and unwavering, never indulgent, always honest. Her compassion has “teeth”; it calls me back to truth when I’m looping, acting, making myself wrong, and anesthetizing myself with story, and makes me stay for what I don’t want to feel. I think of her as a wilderness guide for the inner planes – helping me see myself clearly, to get from point a to point b efficiently and safely, without telling me what to do. On the rare occasion she does offer direct advice, I listen fully. She’s one of the very few people whose guidance I trust implicitly, because she is one of the very few people who can see me without distortion.
Her mentorship has also helped me recognize that to operate in the intense environments that call me, I have to be full. The bar isn’t a life of ease or early retirement — it’s to do my purpose, and to be resourced enough in myself to show up and add real value in demanding spaces. It might have taken me decades to understand that, if I ever did, without her.
Ultimately, Katherine’s teaching and role-modeling have taught me how to stay grounded and present inside intensity and to use truth, not expediency, as my litmus test for what to do or not do. I fumble this practice a lot, but I hear (from her) that that’s human.
